What is URTHCOR® made of?

URTHCOR® is composed of between 65-70% calcium carbonate (Limestone), and between 30-40% HDPE which is recyclable with closed-loop capabilities.

Does URTHCOR perform as well as traditional materials in cold and wet environments?

Yes, URTHCOR® is engineered to maintain strength and protect product in cold and wet conditions. Its sister product, URTHCOOL® is a high-barrier cold chain solution where thermal insulation is critical, best used for seafood, meat, pharmaceuticals, and high-value chilled exports. URTHCOOL® has superior thermal and structural performance out of cold chain, especially when combined with Phase Change Materials (PCM).

Is URTHCOR® waterproof?

Yes, all our URTHCOR® products are waterproof and leakproof.

Can you recycle URTHCOR®?

Yes, URTHCOR® can be recycled either through a plastics recycler for loss value or through a closed-loop collection program.
